First of all thankyou very much if you take the time to read this letter. I have been doing research on my family’s hisory and am trying to obtain Information concerning my great uncle Gerhard Baumert. He travelled by ship to Brazil in 1936 or 1938. It is said, in our family, that he knew you as a young man before you became famous. He was your translator for a while. I am trying to put together all the information I have gathered but there are large gaps. If you remember Gerhard Baumert please let me know.
